Senior Java Developer – Healthcare, PBM Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and develop applications and microservices based on Java technologies.

• Create scalable solutions tailored for high-performance transaction systems.

• Develop and support applications driven by events and integrations utilizing Apache Kafka.

• Engage in Agile planning, estimation processes, and design discussions.

• Collaborate with product and project teams to provide technical estimates and updates.

• Diagnose and resolve complex production and system-related issues.

• Independently manage development tasks with minimal oversight.

• Work in partnership with distributed teams across various time zones.

• Clearly and proactively report critical issues.

• Support system architecture alongside hands-on development efforts.

• Conduct peer code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers.

• Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of software development experience.

• Strong proficiency in Java, J2EE, JDBC, Spring, and Spring Boot.

• Proven experience in constructing web services using SOAP/REST and microservices architecture.

• Practical experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven/messaging architectures.

• Familiarity with Struts, Spring MVC, and ESB technologies like Camel/Fuse.

• Understanding of OAuth2, SAML, and OpenID authentication protocols.

• Front-end development skills in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and contemporary frameworks.

• Experience with version control and build tools such as Git, SVN, Maven, Bamboo, and Jenkins.

• Competence in writing optimized Oracle SQL queries.

• Knowledge of system design, architecture, and security best practices.

• Capability to tackle complex technical challenges and adapt to new technologies swiftly.

• Ability to collaborate with distributed teams and independently manage priorities.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience based in the U.S.

• Over 10 years of overall industry experience.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Azure configurations, AWS, Hibernate, Spring Batch, Airflow or similar data processing tools, as well as familiarity with healthcare/Medicaid/claims/pharmacy benefits/insurance platforms.
