Senior Java Developer

📋 Description

• Convert business requirements into scalable and maintainable backend services that adhere to architectural standards and Agile delivery methodologies.

• Design, develop, and sustain backend services utilizing Java 17/21 and Spring Boot.

• Create and enhance REST and gRPC APIs while following industry best practices and versioning guidelines.

• Ensure the reliability of services through unit and integration testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.

• Work with PostgreSQL for schema design and performance optimization, and integrate with caching solutions such as Redis.

• Develop and troubleshoot containerized services using Docker and deploy them on Kubernetes (GKE).

• Implement security best practices including OAuth2/OIDC, JWT validation, RBAC, and secure coding techniques.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring effective communication and accountability for deliverables.

• Contribute to CI/CD processes (Tekton/Jenkins, ArgoCD) and adhere to GitOps principles.

• Engage in technical discussions and design reviews, providing mentorship to team members as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with Java (17 or 21) and Spring Boot in production environments.

• Strong understanding of REST APIs and familiarity with gRPC concepts.

• Practical experience with OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, and fundamental backend security practices.

• Proficient in PostgreSQL and JPA/Hibernate.

• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including deployments, debugging, and managing ConfigMaps/Secrets.

• Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems, analyze logs, and identify performance issues.

• Strong communication skills and resilience while working in dynamic, multicultural teams.

• Advanced proficiency in English.

• Demonstrated proactive ownership of tasks and a commitment to continuous improvement.

• Excellent communication abilities with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
