Senior Java Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain the Imara Impact software, ensuring a backend that is both scalable and dependable.

• Create new functionalities on the software platform.

• Implement software engineering principles in the design, development, maintenance, testing, and assessment of the software.

• Safeguard the software's security in relation to information security and personal data.

• Engage actively in meetings and projects, collaborating effectively with team members.

• Pursue continuous personal development and stay updated on new advancements in the field.

• Clearly document your work for the benefit of future users.

• Take part in agile team rituals and practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience utilizing Java backend tools and frameworks, including Spring.

• Focus beyond just coding - prioritize quality and scalability.

• Experience with microservices and AWS is highly desirable.

• Proficient English skills, both verbal and written.

• Must be currently residing in Portugal, South Africa, or Kenya.
