Senior Java Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot technologies.

• Engage in architectural definitions and technical design for enterprise applications.

• Build and optimize microservices-based architectures and distributed systems.

• Develop secure, resilient, and highly available applications.

• Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and business teams.

• Conduct code reviews and advocate for best development practices.

• Analyze and troubleshoot complex production issues.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to performance, security, and scalability.

• Work within cloud-native environments and containerized applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of backend development experience with Java.

• Strong experience working with Java 11/17+ and Spring Boot, Security, and Data.

• Experience in developing REST APIs and microservices-based architectures.

• Familiarity with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.

• Solid knowledge of JPA / Hibernate.

• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Understanding of concurrency and multithreading.

• Experience with containers and orchestration: Docker / Kubernetes.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms: AWS / Azure / Google Cloud.
