Senior IT Security Controls Assurance Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Perform assessments of security controls by utilizing documented activities (when available) and compliance requirements.

• Create and implement test plans, test cases, and procedures, leveraging data from security tools to gather evidence.

• Utilize queries and dashboards to detect possible control failures during the control testing process.

• Ensure control testing is accurate and completed on time, providing peer reviews as necessary.

• Record findings, including root cause analyses and relevant recommendations for remediation.

• Act as the main point of contact for business stakeholders, offering clear updates on progress and results.

• Share lessons learned by incorporating partner feedback to enhance the control testing program.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

• Proficiency in English at an advanced level.

• Over 3 years of experience in IT Audit or security control testing.

• More than 5 years of experience in Information Security or Information Technology.

• Possession of a professional certification such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, or equivalent.

• Knowledge of industry standards and frameworks such as NIST 800-53, ISO 27001/27002, CIS Controls, and COBIT.

• Experience with methodologies for control testing, risk assessments, and auditing tools.

• Understanding of IT systems, as well as cybersecurity practices and domains.
