Senior IT Security and Audit Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Austria.

📋 Description

• Perform technical security audits.

• Evaluate existing security protocols.

• Generate reports containing recommendations for enhancement based on recognized best practices and personal insights.

• Create customized security strategies and concepts both remotely and on-site.

• Provide guidance on cybersecurity subjects including network security, cloud computing, identity and access management (IAM), detection and response (EDR/XDR/SIEM/SOC), and virtualization.

• Assist in ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards, such as ISO/IEC 27001, BSI IT-Grundschutz, NIS2, and DORA.

• Support clients during cyber incidents, including damage control and forensic investigations.

• Help organizations set up short-term emergency operations and restore regular operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Multiple years of professional experience in administration or IT security, such as at an IT systems provider or in consultancy.

• A keen interest in technical documentation.

• Proficiency in operating Linux and Windows systems.

• Experience with cloud, virtualization, or container technologies, or familiarity with network infrastructures.

• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills in German.
