Senior IT Project Manager – Strategic Finance Transformation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the comprehensive execution of strategic finance transformation and financial technology initiatives.

• Convert finance transformation strategies and business goals into organized IT project roadmaps and delivery plans.

• Propel modernization, standardization, and optimization of global finance processes alongside supporting technology platforms.

• Supervise the implementation and enhancement of financial systems including SAP, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Workday, and related enterprise platforms.

• Collaborate with Finance, IT, business units, and external partners to establish requirements, project scope, and transformation goals.

• Manage project budgets, timelines, resources, risks, dependencies, and change management efforts.

• Assist in finance process transformation across areas such as reporting, planning, controlling, accounting, and financial operations.

• Oversee vendors and third-party integrations, ensuring compliance, quality, and alignment with strategic goals.

• Guarantee that deliveries meet pharmaceutical industry regulations, IT governance standards, and internal quality benchmarks.

• Provide executive-level reporting while communicating project progress, risks, and business value to senior stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of IT Project Management experience in a senior or lead role.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering Finance Transformation, Finance IT, or financial systems projects.

• Strong comprehension of finance processes, operating models, and enterprise technology environments.

• Proven ability to translate strategic finance objectives into technology and transformation projects.

• Familiarity with enterprise financial platforms such as SAP, SAC, Workday, Oracle, or similar systems.

• Robust financial acumen, including expertise in budget management, cost analysis, business cases, and ROI.

• Experience managing intricate global projects involving Finance, IT, business stakeholders, and external vendors.

• Comprehensive knowledge of project governance, risk management, and Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.

• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication abilities, with a knack for influencing senior leadership.

• Experience in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other regulated industries is highly preferred.
