This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Developing, leading, and overseeing scheduling and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) methodologies across a portfolio of IT initiatives.
• Administering the comprehensive IT project schedule utilizing Microsoft Project Server.
• Establishing and upkeeping Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) along with their corresponding dictionaries.
• Collaborating with project managers and stakeholders to organize tasks, create detailed schedules, and ensure successful delivery outcomes.
• Evaluating schedule data to pinpoint cross-project effects and proposing mitigation strategies.
• Spearheading selected complex IT projects (such as new product/service launches, platform upgrades, and software implementations) from initiation to completion.
• Coordinating efforts among cross-functional teams (including business, development, infrastructure, security, operations, and vendors) to facilitate execution.
• Offering actionable advice on defining activities, sequencing tasks, and managing baselines.
• Leveraging advanced Excel capabilities for data analysis and reporting insights to leadership.
• Over 10 years of experience in IT project management.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project Server.
• Strong understanding of project management best practices.
• Experience in analyzing program/project status and producing documentation.
• Familiarity with ITSM-based services.
• Experience in schedule development and WBS dictionaries.
• Required Certifications: DoD 8140.03 Work Role (802) IT Project Manager - Basic.
• Industry Certifications: PMP and ITIL Foundations (ITIL to be obtained within 3 months of hiring).
• Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree.
• Allowable Substitution: An additional 6 years of experience is necessary without a BS/BA degree.
• An extra 4 years of experience is required with an Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree.
