Senior IT Operations Center Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, oversee, and uphold the integrity, security, availability, reliability, and performance of both primary and auxiliary technical architectures.

• Offer high-level technical support and prompt assistance to clients.

• Assess, test, and suggest new computerized system products.

• Design, configure, and operate monitoring platforms, batch job systems, and file transfer systems.

• Administer and oversee all installed systems and infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is mandatory.

• At least 4 years of relevant experience in a hosting environment, data center, help desk, NOC, or a similar setting.

• A minimum of 5 years of related work experience.

• Proficiency in Linux operating system software, with a preference for Red Hat Linux.

• Experience with SAN/NAS infrastructure, preferably with Pure Storage or Isilon.

• Familiarity with backup systems, such as Avamar or Data Domain, is preferred.

• Experience with cloud technologies, ideally in AWS.

• Knowledge of networking concepts, including OSI network layers and TCP/IP.
