Senior IT Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and develop a globally dispersed IT team with direct reports across various countries, fostering a collaborative, engaged, and high-performing team culture.

• Supervise the strategy, management, and optimization of our core SaaS applications, possessing in-depth knowledge of Okta, Google Workspace, and Slack.

• Provide strategic oversight for our macOS-first endpoint environment, directly managing, supporting, and guiding an IT/Endpoint specialist who plays a crucial role in MDM administration, ensuring smooth deployment, patching, compliance, and user experience.

• Integrate a security-first approach into all IT operations, collaborating with InfoSec teams to enforce access controls, identity management (IAM), and endpoint security standards.

• Promote a culture of outstanding IT support and customer service for all internal employees, ensuring that SLA targets are achieved and user friction is minimized.

• Function as a self-starter who identifies infrastructure gaps proactively, initiates projects, and drives them to completion with minimal oversight from senior leadership.

• Assess complex technical and personnel challenges, making difficult decisions when necessary to protect the business and enhance team performance.


⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of progressive experience in IT, including substantial time in a senior leadership or management position.

• Proven hands-on expertise in administering and architecting environments based on Okta and Google Workspace.

• Strong background in overseeing enterprise macOS environments managed via MDM (specifically JAMF), with the capability to manage, assess, and direct reports responsible for hands-on system administration.

• Demonstrated success in leading, motivating, and evaluating remote staff across different time zones and cultures.

• Solid understanding of Zero Trust architecture, identity lifecycle management, and best practices in endpoint security.

• Exceptional attitude with a resilient, solution-oriented perspective.

• Outstanding communication skills, able to translate technical terminology into business value.

• Strong emotional intelligence with a history of keeping teams engaged and motivated.

• High level of autonomy and the ability to make challenging operational decisions.
