Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and manage scalable, dependable automation and integrations across AWS, GCP, Azure, SaaS platforms, and custom services, including APIs and event-driven workflows.

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD processes utilizing Jenkins, Dagger, Terraform, and Docker, ensuring repeatable pipelines for both applications and platform components.

• Operate within a Git-centric workflow (branching, reviews, collaboration) and actively contribute to infrastructure-as-code and GitOps delivery models.

• Construct, manage, and troubleshoot workloads on Kubernetes, employing Kustomize and Helm, along with platform tools such as Argo CD, Argo Workflows, Argo Events, Argo Rollouts, Crossplane, and associated controllers (External Secrets, Sealed Secrets, cert-manager, ingress solutions like Traefik, AWS Load Balancer Controller, External DNS) as suited to the environment.

• Assist in configuration management and fleet-style operations utilizing Ansible where applicable, in conjunction with cloud APIs and automation.

• Develop and sustain REST APIs (and SOAP for legacy systems) and integrations between services, data stores, and identity systems.

• Code in Python, Go, and TypeScript/JavaScript (Node.js) as well as other necessary languages for tooling, integrations, and platform automation.

• Implement Agile methodologies to prioritize tasks, collaborate with stakeholders, and deliver incremental value with defined operational outcomes.

• Design and execute event-driven architectures using managed services (e.g., Lambda, SQS, SNS, API Gateway) and/or Kubernetes-native and workflow platforms (Knative, workflow engines, integrated with n8n or similar) to enhance responsiveness and scalability.

• Contribute to observability and reliability through metrics, logs, and tracing aligned with stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Grafana Alloy (or equivalent), along with operational dashboards for monitoring platform health.

• Support developer portal and platform engineering initiatives where applicable (e.g., Backstage-style experiences), container registries (Harbor, artifact stores), and safe promotion practices across environments.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five years of experience with a strong emphasis on automation, integration, and platform or systems engineering.

• Expertise in AWS and GCP cloud services; familiarity with Azure is beneficial.

• Deep hands-on experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.

• Significant experience with Docker, Jenkins, and CI/CD; familiarity with Dagger or similar pipeline-as-code tools is a plus.

• Strong programming capabilities in Python and Go, with proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript for tooling or services being advantageous.

• Experience with Git and collaborative development processes.

• Experience in building and consuming APIs (REST required; SOAP for legacy systems).

• Familiarity with integration and low-code/automation platforms (e.g., n8n, Zapier) for system connectivity and workflow acceleration.

• Understanding of Single Sign-On, SAML, and OpenID Connect (OIDC); experience with identity platforms like Okta is advantageous.

• Practical experience with Kubernetes, Helm/Kustomize, and GitOps (Argo CD or equivalent); exposure to Crossplane or multi-cluster patterns is a plus.

• Extensive experience integrating SaaS products and cloud services into secure, auditable enterprise frameworks.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, iterative delivery, and adapting to evolving requirements.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; capable of managing complex, cross-team initiatives and prioritizing effectively.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; adept at working with diverse teams to deliver high-quality, supportable results.
