This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Manage help-desk inquiries: Triage and address employee requests — password resets, access provisioning, troubleshooting for Slack, Google Workspace, and Zoom, along with general support for "my thing is broken" issues.
• Oversee the device lifecycle: Acquire, provision, configure, and dispatch laptops for new employees. Handle off-boarding wipes and returns while ensuring the asset inventory remains accurate.
• Conduct onboarding and offboarding: Set up accounts, apply security profiles, draft welcome communications, and ensure new hires have everything they need before their first day.
• Administer Google Workspace: Manage users, groups, aliases, and license assignments, utilizing both the admin console and CLI tools on a regular basis.
• Ensure endpoint compliance: Collaborate with device trust tools to maintain security policy adherence on employee machines, following up when compliance is lacking.
• Implement and enforce security policies: Assist in rolling out and maintaining endpoint security configurations, access controls, and compliance requirements throughout the organization.
• Manage corporate software: Oversee seat assignments, renewals, license optimization, and access reviews for our SaaS applications.
• Support office networking and AV: Assist in maintaining networking equipment, conference room setups, and office technology across physical locations as required.
• Train and empower employees: Provide light technical guidance and training on IT systems for new hires and ongoing support (including written guides, short walkthroughs, and occasional screen sharing).
• Document processes: Maintain run-books, knowledge base articles, and procedural documents. If you resolve an issue, ensure to document the resolution process.
• Relevant IT support experience. This could be a help-desk position, an internal support role, or simply being the go-to person when something malfunctioned. Job title is less important than practical experience.
• Proficiency with macOS. Our endpoint fleet primarily consists of Mac devices. You should be capable of troubleshooting system issues, managing profiles, and using the terminal without assistance.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace administration, or the ability to learn quickly. Experience with CLI admin tools is a plus.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts: DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN fundamentals, and traffic flow. You don't need to be a network engineer, but you should be comfortable with connectivity issues.
• Fundamental knowledge of cybersecurity principles. You should understand endpoint security, encryption, and access controls, and their importance, even if you haven't developed policies from scratch.
• Excellent written communication skills. As this is a remote position, coordination occurs in Slack and Notion. Clear writing is essential to overcome timezone challenges.
• Ability to work independently. There may be periods where you work separately from the rest of the IT team. You should be proactive in identifying and completing tasks.
• A curiosity about systems operations. Whether you've managed a homelab, automated tedious tasks with scripts, or set up a Raspberry Pi, we value the desire to learn over your resume details.
• Nice to have:
• - Experience with MDM platforms (any major ones)
• - Exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, etc.) and infrastructure-as-code concepts
• - Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or JavaScript
• - Familiarity with zero-trust networking concepts and tools
• - Background in compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001)
• - Knowledge of international IT regulations or data privacy requirements (GDPR, etc.)
• Health insurance
• 401(k) matching
• Flexible working hours
• Paid time off
• Remote work options
