Senior Manager, IT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Lead an AI-driven IT service operation for around 800 employees, encompassing onboarding, offboarding, self-service provisioning, deflection, and proactive remediation.

• Design and enhance Okta identity and access controls as well as Jamf endpoint management to create an enterprise-level access layer.

• Collaborate on zero-trust architecture alongside the Security team, focusing on identity, devices, and access.

• Oversee a portfolio of over 200 SaaS tools, ensuring ROI accountability and vendor governance.

• Direct high-severity IT incident response efforts, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement prevention strategies.

• Convert enterprise, AI, and company-scale objectives into a comprehensive IT roadmap and execute it.

• Establish and enforce access, procurement, and security policies across diverse cross-functional teams.

• Develop and scale a tiered, globally distributed IT organization, supervising a team of approximately six in a player-coach role.

• Position IT as an internal testing ground for enterprise access controls and represent Zapier's IT stance in enterprise negotiations.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in IT/Systems Engineering.

• 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams.

• Background in scaling IT within a high-growth, fully remote organization is preferred.

• Proven track record in building accountable teams and nurturing talent across different time zones.

• Experience in developing, advocating for, and implementing AI or automation within IT or security operations.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Okta, including SSO, SCIM, OIDC, SAML, MFA, RBAC/ABAC, and lifecycle automation.

• In-depth hands-on expertise with Jamf, covering device trust and EDR.

• Familiarity with SaaS governance on a large scale.

• Experience collaborating with Security on zero trust, enterprise access controls, and compliance matters.

• Knowledge of SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001 controls and evidence requirements.

• Proven ability to formulate and implement IT strategy and roadmap.

• Experience in operating within SLAs and metrics, along with managing major-incident responses.

• Proficiency in managing SaaS expenditures with a focus on FinOps, optimization goals, and ROI.

• Senior-level influence and communication skills across Security, Legal, Finance, and Engineering departments.

• Capability to represent Zapier's IT posture to enterprise IT buyers and security teams.

• Optional certifications are welcomed, including Okta, Jamf, CISSP, CISM, Security+, CCSP, CISA, ISO 27001, AWS, ITIL, PMP, or equivalent credentials.
