Senior IT Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• In the role of a Senior IT Engineer, you will oversee and manage our cross-site IT infrastructure while playing an active role in providing 2nd and 3rd-level support.

• You will systematically analyze incidents, devise innovative solutions, and ensure the stability of IT operations.

• Your duties will encompass the installation, configuration, and upkeep of Windows servers, end-user devices, along with network and firewall components.

• Moreover, you will assist in client management (Windows & Android), uphold backup solutions, and engage in IT security initiatives.

• Beyond initial setup, updates, and ongoing system maintenance, you will conduct root-cause analyses and implement sustainable problem resolutions, document support processes, and coordinate with external service providers when necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist in System Integration (Fachinformatiker Systemintegration) or an equivalent qualification.

• A university degree in Computer Science or Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.

• Proven experience in 2nd/3rd-level support with strong analytical thinking capabilities.

• Proficient knowledge in the installation, administration, and maintenance of Windows servers.

• Strong expertise in infrastructure and networking.

• Experience in client management (Windows & Android).

• Comprehensive understanding of IT security.

• Familiarity with monitoring tools and support processes and workflows.

• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, etc.

• Nice to have: Experience with projects involving the implementation or upgrade of ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Navision to Business Central).

• Very good proficiency in both German and English.
