Principal Enterprise Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define, enhance, and uphold the foundational architectural framework of the Moder AI Platform, which encompasses ontology design, data modeling standards, pipeline architecture, application patterns, and integration methods.

• Create comprehensive architecture for AI-driven migration capabilities aimed at converting legacy systems into platform-native resources.

• Recognize recurring implementation patterns and formalize them into reusable platform functionalities.

• Foster consistency among engineering teams to minimize duplication and enhance delivery speed.

• Establish and enforce architectural standards in collaboration with engineering leadership.

• Evaluate and endorse critical system designs, ensuring they align with platform principles, scalability, security, and maintainability.

• Outline strategies for incorporating GenAI, agentic systems, and automation into the platform.

• Offer architectural insights to the CTO and executive leadership regarding platform strategy, technology investments, decisions on build versus configure, and technical risks.

• Assist in complex customer and internal implementations by converting enterprise requirements into standardized architectural solutions.

• Mentor senior and principal engineers while contributing to internal technical standards and best practices.

• Adhere to company policies and procedures.

• Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.

• Execute other related tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of experience in enterprise architecture, platform engineering, or senior technical leadership roles within complex, large-scale environments.

• Proven hands-on experience in delivering solutions on Palantir Foundry and AIP, which includes ontology design, data pipelines, system integration, and application architecture.

• Established ability to design and operationalize reusable architectural patterns that measurably impact delivery speed, cost efficiency, system reliability, or scalability.

• Experience in designing and deploying production-grade GenAI or agentic systems, including orchestration, tool integration, governance, and observability.

• Profound expertise in modern data architecture, such as cloud-native systems, APIs, and event-driven architectures.

• Experience in leading architecture for extensive modernization or migration initiatives involving legacy systems of record.

• Strong judgment in assessing architectural tradeoffs, including decisions regarding standardization, reuse, customization, and system design limitations.

• Experience advising senior executives (CTO, CIO, or equivalent) on enterprise technology strategy and architectural direction.

• Capability to function effectively across both strategic and hands-on contexts, from high-level platform design to detailed technical architecture evaluations.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to align engineering, product, and executive stakeholders around complex technical decisions.
