This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Lead development teams in the design, creation, implementation, and support of enterprise applications.
• Act as a technical leader accountable for application architecture, integration strategies, and the adoption of best practices in development.
• Drive the development and upkeep of applications, which includes coding, testing, debugging, deployment, and production support activities.
• Set priorities, manage project timelines, and ensure successful delivery that aligns with business objectives and IT strategy.
• Facilitate the adoption of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver effective technology solutions.
• Assess existing systems and recommend enhancements, modernization initiatives, and new technology solutions.
• Guarantee the availability, reliability, performance, and scalability of supported applications.
• Provide leadership and guidance in addressing complex technical challenges, production incidents, and system issues.
• Create and maintain architecture documentation, technical specifications, solution designs, and development standards.
• Lead Agile delivery practices, including sprint planning, code reviews, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate development efforts across global teams, vendors, and technology partners to ensure successful project execution.
• Mentor and support developers through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and professional development opportunities.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
• Over eight (8) years of software development experience with a strong emphasis on the Microsoft technology stack.
• Demonstrated experience in leading development teams and delivering enterprise-scale applications.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum-based software delivery environments.
• Experience in supporting production systems and resolving complex technical challenges.
• Strong proficiency with C#, .NET Framework, .NET 6/8+, and modern web application development.
• Experience in developing applications using ASP.NET (Web Forms and MVC) and RESTful APIs.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Understanding of application architecture, systems integration, and best practices in software development.
