Senior IT Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +35 more states.

📋 Description

• Convert emerging client demands and technologies into practical business strategies and plans.

• Prioritize requests for enhancements and initiatives concerning electronic channels.

• Develop technological solutions and assess digital project designs and content.

• Offer guidance in strategy, research, benchmarking, business analysis, and implementation of electronic solutions.

• Assist end users and vendors with RFIs/RFPs, ROI calculations, budgets, and strategic specifications.

• Create and manage dashboards that communicate objectives and progress of initiatives.

• Supervise data analysis and promote fact-based decision-making.

• Educate and influence stakeholders regarding effective use of electronic channels.

• Formulate strategic technology plans.

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of intricate application and system specifications and processes.

• Lead or participate in task forces and facility activities aimed at enhancing IT service quality and efficiency.

• Investigate, monitor, and resolve complex issues related to projects, systems, and applications.

• Design and uphold standards and policies for application and end-user documentation.

• Develop comprehensive testing scenarios across various information systems, levels, and states.

• Maintain knowledge of the healthcare industry and technical advancements through workshops, conferences, networking, and relevant certifications or licenses.

• Address customer issues and conflicting priorities while adhering to budget constraints.

• Act as a high-level owner for designated information applications or systems.

• Engage in meetings, presentations, visioning, strategy, planning, and implementation activities across the company.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, technical skills, business acumen, and healthcare experience.

• Over seven years of progressive experience in a healthcare setting.

• Extensive knowledge of information technology, healthcare, and/or operations within a specific specialty area.

• Demonstrated leadership experience in large-scale project planning, reporting, and budgeting.

• Familiarity with specific IT process methodologies depending on assigned responsibilities may be necessary.

• Outstanding communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.

• Capability to lead, communicate, and engage across facilities and at various organizational levels.

• Skills and experience necessary to recruit, mentor, motivate, evaluate, and retain team members.

• Flexibility in shifts and hours, including the ability to carry and respond to a pager may be required.

• Additional related education and/or experience is preferred.
