This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Oversee and expand the global direct customer base.
• Promote luxury small ship cruises by nurturing customer relationships and actively managing potential clients.
• Address incoming booking inquiries via website, email, phone, social media, referrals, press, and live chat.
• Assess client requirements and suggest appropriate cruise options.
• Offer travel information and tailored service.
• Address customer issues and convert inquiries into confirmed bookings.
• Achieve and surpass revenue goals.
• Reach out to previous direct customers to highlight new destinations.
• Engage in cross-selling and upselling as suitable.
• Manage issues and complaints, including rebooking and refund requests.
• Record customer feedback and recommend enhancements to sales, marketing, and operations processes.
• Confirm reservations and oversee the booking process.
• Monitor and collect payments.
• Follow up on pre-travel requirements and special requests.
• Maintain accurate direct customer database information and adhere to CRM protocols.
• Collaborate with operations regarding customer requests.
• Coordinate press-trip bookings with marketing and public relations.
• Handle direct charter requests.
• Track promotions and communicate them to direct customers.
• Provide a weekly report on direct sales.
• Collaborate with accounting as necessary.
• Bachelor's degree, ideally in Hospitality, Travel, Tourism, Business, or a related field.
• Prior experience in a luxury travel agency or tour operator as a travel or hospitality consultant or advisor.
• Strong knowledge of domestic and international travel trends.
• Well-informed understanding of European and Asian consumers and travelers.
• Personal travel experience is an advantage.
• Native English speaker.
• Proficiency in Spanish or French is a plus.
• Capability to plan and organize expeditions.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Cultural awareness, social skills, and travel background.
• Familiarity with environmental conservation and sustainable practices.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability.
• Proficient in IT with systems, applications, computers, and mobile devices.
• Ability to work autonomously.
