Senior IP Telephony Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Assist in the transition of the telephony environment from Cisco IP telephony to Content Guru.

• Oversee Verint PCI compliance initiatives for the US telephony and recording environments, including configuration, validation, and audit preparation.

• Manage the onboarding process for new sites, systems, and users within the Verint compliance program.

• Occasionally provide engineering and system design support for Cisco IP telephony during the transition to Content Guru.

• Develop engineering capabilities and support for the Content Guru platform.

• Design, test, and validate PCI DSS controls for recording and IVR systems.

• Collaborate with compliance and security teams to document and address PCI-related issues.

• Offer technical guidance on telephony architecture decisions throughout the multi-platform transition.

• In the initial 3–6 months, lead Verint PCI compliance efforts and onboarding, provide occasional Cisco telephony engineering support, and begin developing Content Guru support capabilities.

• Accommodate compliance audit schedules, Verint onboarding activities, and occasional legacy Cisco telephony assistance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience in IP telephony engineering (Cisco UCM/CUBE/voice gateways) at a principal level, including system design experience.

• Familiarity with Verint recording and compliance platforms, specifically regarding PCI DSS control implementation and system onboarding.

• Understanding of PCI DSS requirements as they relate to telephony and call recording contexts.

• Experience with Content Guru or a similar cloud CCaaS platform, or a proven ability to quickly learn new telephony systems.

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken, capable of direct communication with US business and compliance stakeholders and conducting interviews in English.

• Proven ability to collaborate with international, multicultural teams across various time zones.

• Strong sense of ownership and independence, able to manage compliance-driven projects with minimal supervision.

• Over 8 years of experience in IP telephony engineering, possessing principal-level responsibility for system design and architecture decisions.

• Proven track record in delivering results within a compliance-driven framework (PCI DSS or similar regulated environment).

• Experience supporting platform migrations and transitions in enterprise settings.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Preferred direct hands-on experience with Content Guru.

• PCI DSS certification or exposure to QSA-adjacent audits is preferred.

• Experience in insurance or other regulated, enterprise-scale environments is preferred.

• Cisco voice certifications (CCNP/CCIE Collaboration) are preferred or considered a plus.

• Preferred certifications related to PCI DSS and/or Verint.
