
Senior IP Docketing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Maintaining precise docket records
• Managing essential deadlines
• Ensuring the integrity of intellectual property portfolio management processes
• Reviewing and docketing correspondence related to U.S., international, and foreign patents and trademarks
• Opening and closing matters and deadlines within the docketing system
• Coordinating transfers of clients and matters
• Assisting with the processes for patent renewals, maintenance fees, and annuities
• Providing guidance on docketing, along with generating reports and queries
• Monitoring workflow and ensuring compliance with jurisdiction-specific requirements
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in intellectual property prosecution and docketing
• Excellent communication skills
• Comfortable making independent judgments
• Experience in training and mentoring others
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and organized
• Ability to handle a high-volume workload
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Extensive knowledge of U.S. and international patent and trademark prosecution procedures
• Experience with intellectual property docketing systems (FoundationIP preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred
