Senior IP Analyst – Biotech, Life Sciences

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive prior art (novelty/patentability, validity, state-of-the-art) and freedom-to-operate (FTO) searches.

• Create and implement intricate search strategies customized to meet client requirements.

• Evaluate and analyze search lists and patent documents, ensuring precision and accuracy.

• Prepare detailed, client-ready reports that summarize findings and provide valuable insights.

• Execute technical and administrative responsibilities (Checker 1 and Checker 2) in line with ISO 9001 standards.

• Depending on expertise, carry out patent landscape analyses to deliver insights into the competitive and technological landscape of specific sectors or innovations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in patent research, including prior art and freedom-to-operate (FTO) searches.

• Proficient knowledge of the tools and techniques necessary for developing effective Boolean search strategies.

• Significant experience with global patent databases, including those equipped with AI search functionalities.

• Strong foundational knowledge in technical disciplines, such as engineering or science, to accurately interpret patent documents.

• Expertise in conducting intricate patent searches and producing comprehensive reports.

• Thorough understanding of ISO 9001 processes and the capability to perform both technical and administrative tasks (Checker roles).

• Capacity to mentor junior analysts and ensure high-quality outputs through guidance and collaboration.
