This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Review, approval, and negotiation of contracts (such as service agreements, employment contracts, licenses, marketing/advertising agreements, NDAs, etc.) across all jurisdictions of MD Finance.
• Preparation of legal documents, including terms and conditions for websites, privacy and cookie policies, corporate documentation, and more.
• Development and execution of internal policies, including documentation for data protection.
• Assisting with the daily legal operations and activities of the company.
• Collaborating closely with department heads and Country Managers to provide legal support tailored to the specific business needs of different departments or business units in various countries.
• Ensuring legal compliance by making certain that all companies adhere to the requirements set forth by State Regulators and Authorities across different areas of business operations (including data protection, marketing, payments, GDPR, and AML).
• A minimum of 7 years of legal experience within an international IT/FinTech company, digital advertising agency, or a leading law firm, particularly in the IP/IT department.
• Comprehensive knowledge of IP/IT law, European data protection, compliance regulations, civil and labor law, international treaty law, and banking and finance legal standards.
• Proven ability to efficiently manage multiple projects under pressure.
• Strong analytical skills to identify and mitigate legal risks.
• Experience in addressing a variety of legal issues across different jurisdictions.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective engagement with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in English for legal drafting and communication with English-speaking colleagues and partners.
• Solid research skills in local fintech, regulatory, and tax laws.
• Familiarity with GDPR, AML, Compliance, and Intellectual Property laws is preferred.
• Experience working with EU-based regulators and state authorities is also preferred.
