Senior Internal Auditor – Business & IT Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Assist in the planning and scoping of operational and integrated audits for business and IT operations.

• Take the lead or participate in global and regional operational and integrated audits.

• Perform walkthroughs, assess process design, and execute controls testing for business processes and IT systems.

• Generate high-quality audit work papers that support audit findings.

• Develop AI-enabled solutions, prompt workflows, AI agents, scripts, and data pipelines to automate audits.

• Leverage data analytics and AI to test entire populations, identify control deficiencies, assess risk exposure, and deliver data-driven insights.

• Document and disseminate reusable audit automation solutions while contributing to the Internal Audit AI playbook.

• Compose audit issues and formulate conclusions for Internal Audit reports.

• Relay audit status, escalations, issues, and reporting to audit leaders.

• Monitor action items with management for Audit Committee reporting.

• Advise the business on risks, control environments, and change initiatives.

• Contribute to the enhancement of Internal Audit methodology, automation, reporting, and ServiceNow IRM.

• Cultivate relationships with internal stakeholders and act as a representative of the Internal Audit function.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a 4-year degree (or US equivalent) from an accredited institution; degrees in Management Information Systems, Finance, and Accounting are strongly preferred.

• At least 5 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 3 years at a public accounting firm.

• Experience in internal auditing, external auditing, SOX compliance, operations, and process improvement.

• Familiarity with auditing IT general controls, application controls, and business operational processes.

• Knowledge of data governance, privacy compliance, and modern technology risks and controls.

• Awareness of AI/GenAI governance and considerations regarding model risk.

• Proven track record of developing a tool, automation, script, or AI workflow that addressed a real challenge.

• Practical experience with generative AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot, including creating custom prompts, agents, or automated workflows.

• Strong comprehension of business operations.

• Excellent analytical and project management abilities.

• Proficiency in Excel and process mapping tools.

• Hands-on experience with data analytics tools like Power BI.

• Experience with SAP is preferred.

• Strong critical thinking and root cause analysis capabilities.

• Exceptional verbal, written, oral communication, and presentation skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal oversight.

• Familiarity with the ServiceNow platform, particularly IRM modules, is a significant plus.

• Possession of at least one certification: CISA, CISM, CIA, or CPA.

• Experience in a high-growth or rapidly evolving technology enterprise is preferred.
