This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Works collaboratively throughout all stages of the design process, which includes understanding client needs, developing conceptual and schematic designs, preparing documentation, and administering construction processes.
• Partner with architects, project managers, and fellow designers to create interior design concepts tailored for healthcare projects.
• Engage in developing interior concepts aligned with the client's vision, preferences, project scope, and architectural design.
• Provide guidance to healthcare clients regarding best practices for finishes within healthcare facilities.
• Collaborate with the national healthcare practice to enhance the design quality of healthcare projects within the office.
• Produce renderings and visual presentations that effectively communicate design concepts to clients, along with generating finish plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction.
• Lead design presentations both internally and externally.
• Collaborate effectively on implementation documentation and communicate design requirements and solutions to the wider design and construction team.
• Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, fixtures, equipment (FF&E), color schemes, and lighting options.
• Integrate Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.
• Responsible for liaising with vendors and contractors to ensure all project information is incorporated into requirements and providing necessary support.
• Coordinate with the project team to review and approve final interior and exterior programming, design development documents, construction documents, furnishings selections and purchases, RFIs, and submittals.
• Communicate with various disciplines, product representatives, furniture dealers, fabricators, and contractors to ensure all relevant information is integrated into project requirements.
• Mentor junior interior designers.
• Engage in the business development process by identifying new opportunities, marketing to existing clients for repeat business, and assisting with proposals.
• A degree in interior design, architecture, or a related discipline.
• Over 12 years of relevant work experience in Interior Design, including at least 7 years focused on Healthcare Interior Design.
• Strong skills in Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations pertaining to interior design.
• Ability to function collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Capacity to work alongside the Preconstruction Team.
• Understanding of sustainable design principles.
• Familiarity with Evidence Based Design principles.
• Professional certification or registration (such as NCIDQ, CHID or LEED) is advantageous.
