Senior Integrity Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Conduct Level 1 and Level 2 Fitness-for-Service assessments as well as advanced Corrosion Growth Analysis.

• Review or create Level 3 FFS assessments as needed for various projects.

• Execute integrity evaluations on pipelines, piping systems, heaters, and boilers.

• Assess junior engineers' Run Comparison reports and analyze dent strain and bending strain in accordance with relevant codes and standards.

• Serve as the technical liaison for project managers and clients regarding structural integrity inquiries.

• Assist in proposals and engage in client-facing technical activities.

• Ensure recommendations are in compliance with local and national regulations.

• Enhance knowledge of codes and standards across different jurisdictions.

• Validate and contribute to the development of proprietary engineering tools.

• Develop Python or VBA scripts to automate evaluations based on MFL and UT inspection data.

• Establish and uphold internal procedures, technical questionnaires, and quality checklists.

• Oversee multiple projects and proactively identify risks and priorities.

• Contribute to business development, method enhancement, and technical initiatives.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical and/or Materials (or Metallurgical) Engineering; a Master's degree is highly advantageous.

• Minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience in the structural integrity of pressurized equipment, ideally pipelines.

• Proven experience in independently conducting and reviewing FFS assessments and remaining life calculations.

• Strong proficiency in fracture mechanics, as well as corrosion and fatigue damage mechanisms.

• Familiarity with API 579 / ASME FFS-1, API 530, ASME B31G, DNV-RP-F101, API 1183, ASME VIII Div. 2, and ASME PCC-2 standards.

• Understanding of international regulations concerning pipeline and pressure equipment integrity.

• Experience in risk assessments and translating findings into actionable recommendations.

• Strong mathematical and statistical skills, including knowledge of probabilistic methods.

• Proficient in programming, preferably in Python, VBA, or MATLAB.

• Mid to advanced-level expertise in integrity assessment methodologies.

• Capability to produce clear, professional technical reports and communicate complex subjects to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.

• Willingness to adapt working hours to collaborate with colleagues in Canada and Mexico.

• Demonstrates curiosity, proactivity, and a team-oriented mindset.

• Practical experience in finite element analysis, particularly with ABAQUS, is a plus.

• Familiarity with creep assessments of boilers and heaters is a nice-to-have.

• Exposure to Level 3 FFS assessments is advantageous.

• Experience in analyzing pipeline ILI data (MFL/UT) is a plus.

• Prior involvement in client-facing technical activities or proposals is beneficial.

• Experience in highly regulated sectors is a plus.
