Senior Insurance Defense Trial Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Litigates cases with moderate to high complexity and exposure, including those involving unique legal or procedural challenges, handling responsibilities from intake through trial and/or settlement.

• Serves as the lead attorney in hearings, conferences, interviews, mediations, arbitrations, and/or trials.

• Develops strategies and arguments to ensure thorough preparation for trial.

• Leverages knowledge of legal precedents to assess the likely outcomes of a case.

• Evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of various approaches to a case.

• Completes or oversees any additional tasks or duties necessary for the effective representation of clients.

• Consults with the Claims Executive team and provides recommendations on legal strategy concerning personal injury claims.

• Offers guidance to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

• Must be licensed to practice law in the relevant states as a requirement upon hiring.

• A minimum of seven years of litigation experience is required.

• Experience in insurance defense, personal injury, and/or jury trials is mandatory.

• Strong preference for first and second chair trial experience in bodily injury litigation.

• Preference for experience in multistate jurisdictional practice.

• Skills in public speaking, ability to manage high caseloads in adversarial or confrontational situations, and driving are essential.
