
Senior Instructor β Mechanical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Deliver the ATI curriculum to independent mechanical and general repair shop owners and their teams through live, virtual, and on-demand formats.
β’ Convert business concepts β such as financials, sales, leadership, succession, and operations β into practical applications suitable for a mechanical/general repair audience on the shop floor.
β’ Tailor the delivery style and content to suit the format, audience, and experience level of each session, including advanced and owner-level cohorts.
β’ Act as the lead or anchor instructor for flagship courses, multi-day events, and high-stakes sessions as required.
β’ Collaborate closely with curriculum and instructional design teams to ensure that mechanical-relevant content remains accurate, up-to-date, and credible.
β’ Provide subject-matter review and feedback on newly developed or revised mechanical curriculum prior to wider implementation.
β’ Identify content gaps and emerging topics in the mechanical industry, and propose new course or session development.
β’ Allocate regular, structured time to research advancements in the mechanical/general repair industry, including evolving technologies (such as EV service, ADAS, diagnostics, telematics), labor market trends, parts supply dynamics, and changing shop economics.
β’ Continuously monitor industry publications, trade associations, OEM technical resources, and peer research to sustain current and credible subject-matter expertise within ATI's mechanical curriculum.
β’ Review existing course materials on a set schedule to determine their ongoing relevance, accuracy, and alignment with the realities participants face in their shops today β recommending updates, retirements, or new content as necessary.
β’ Mentor and onboard newer or less experienced instructors, which includes classroom observation and providing constructive feedback.
β’ Extensive experience in the mechanical/general repair industry, with a proven track record of credibility among shop owners and operators.
β’ A demonstrated and sustained history of instructing or presenting to groups in both live and/or virtual environments, including advanced or experienced audiences.
β’ Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to facilitate discussions among seasoned business owners.
β’ Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
β’ Proven capability to mentor, coach, or develop other instructors or team members.
β’ Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting and travel occasionally for live events and meetings.
β’ A demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and skills enhancement.
β’ Candidates who are not actively engaged in their own learning and development do not meet the criteria for this role, regardless of their experience level.
