Senior Infrastructure Engineer / Infrastructure Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with technical leaders to create and implement a strategic architectural vision for interconnected products and services, ensuring robust availability and scalability on AWS.

• Convert product engineering needs into reliable, automated application and system configurations while bridging the divide between development and operations.

• Develop scripts and leverage infrastructure tools and AWS services to automate continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and infrastructure provisioning.

• Conduct after-hours system maintenance and provide on-call troubleshooting as necessary, promptly addressing system alerts.

• Design, implement, and sustain development, testing, and production environments that optimize resource efficiency and ensure uniformity across all commercial products.

• Install and set up networks and Linux-based computer systems, maintaining a high level of security across all accounts, user permissions, and services.

• Execute necessary system backups and maintenance while routinely applying critical updates and security patches across multiple systems.

• Monitor Infotech's cloud infrastructure for vulnerabilities and intrusion detection, proactively defending against possible threats.

• Act as a key technical contributor for the team, delivering clean implementation code, advocating for technology adoption, and mentoring engineering teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field with 3 years of relevant experience; or a master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; or a suitable combination of education and experience.

• Experience in system administration or previous involvement in Infrastructure.

• Proficiency in database administration and networking.

• Excellent troubleshooting/debugging abilities.

• Understanding of fundamental concepts of Infrastructure as Code (Programmable Infrastructure).

• Background in Agile Software Engineering.
