Senior Infrastructure Engineer, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and maintain robust infrastructure solutions based on AWS for Catalight.

• Develop AWS infrastructure components such as VPCs, subnets, and routing.

• Assist in establishing hybrid connectivity through VPNs, private endpoints, and Transit Gateway.

• Support configurations for high availability and basic disaster recovery.

• Provision and manage infrastructure utilizing Terraform.

• Aid in CI/CD pipeline support for infrastructure deployments.

• Execute fundamental infrastructure automation tasks.

• Build and manage containerized applications using Docker.

• Facilitate deployments in ECS or EKS environments.

• Assist with scaling, health checks, and basic deployment strategies.

• Utilize CloudWatch and Datadog for monitoring and alerts.

• Support the creation of dashboards and basic alert configurations.

• Assist in incident response and troubleshooting efforts.

• Collaborate with engineering teams on deployment and operational tasks.

• Maintain documentation and runbooks.

• Engage in issue resolution and team activities.

• Exhibit independent discovery and leadership while mentoring other engineers.

• Operate autonomously in complex environments to further Catalight’s mission of transforming home and community-based care.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in cloud or infrastructure engineering.

• Hands-on proficiency with AWS core services.

• Familiarity with Terraform or similar tools.

• Basic experience with Docker and containerization platforms.

• Understanding of networking and cloud fundamentals.

• Exposure to monitoring tools.

• Effective communication skills in the primary workplace language, both verbal and written.

• Ability to utilize a computer and cell phone for efficient communication.

• Capability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ).

• Ability to secure and maintain clearance through the Office of Inspector General.

• Attendance at required training sessions is mandatory.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, APIs or integration patterns, security reviews and compliance requirements, along with a basic understanding of microservices is advantageous.

• Strong skills in communication, collaboration, multitasking, problem-solving, judgment, flexibility, patience, discretion, and a willingness to learn and develop.

• Commitment to managing a remote work schedule that aligns with PST business hours.
