This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Design, architect, and implement scalable and resilient infrastructure across compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud platforms.
• Lead initiatives for cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades, network redesigns, and modernization projects of systems.
• Provide expert troubleshooting and performance optimization for complex, multi-site environments.
• Implement processes for infrastructure hardening, patch management, identity management frameworks, and zero-trust methodologies.
• Oversee the architecture for disaster recovery and business continuity, including recovery objectives and failover testing.
• Support Windows Server environments both on-premises and in the cloud, including SQL Server instances.
• Develop automation workflows and infrastructure-as-code solutions utilizing PowerShell, Python, Terraform, and similar technologies.
• Assess new technologies and contribute to infrastructure recommendations and long-term roadmaps.
• Maintain and rearchitect LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, firewall, and VPN infrastructures.
• Optimize VMware/Hyper-V virtualization platforms as well as Azure/AWS cloud services.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and application teams to ensure secure service delivery.
• Create system documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
• Provide technical leadership to junior engineers while establishing engineering standards and best practices.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline.
• A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
• Possession of industry certifications.
• Secret level clearance is preferred.
• Preference for candidates with 15+ years of experience.
• Preferred certifications include Azure Solutions Architect, AWS, VMware VCP/VCAP, and Palo Alto Cisco CCNP.
• Extensive expertise in networking, firewall, and VPN technologies, such as NetGate, PFSense, Ubiquity, Cisco, Palo Alto, and Sonic Wall.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows Server systems, virtualization, enterprise storage, and networking technologies.
• Advanced experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, hybrid connectivity, identity services, and cloud governance.
• Advanced proficiency in backup and disaster recovery solutions, including VEEAM, AvePoint, and Zerto.
• Strong understanding of security best practices, SIEM, endpoint management, and compliance frameworks.
• Proven experience leading enterprise-level projects and cross-functional initiatives.
• Proficiency in automation, orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
