Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and sustain automation frameworks and scripts to enhance security procedures.

• Implement and oversee AWS resources using Terraform, ensuring a secure and scalable infrastructure.

• Develop cutting-edge security solutions to minimize mean time to detect and respond (MTTR).

• Enhance AWS Step Functions and Lambda for serverless automation tasks.

• Utilize AWS security services such as IAM, Control Tower, KMS, Macie, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, and EventBridge to strengthen cloud security.

• Incorporate security automation within CI/CD pipelines in partnership with cross-functional teams.

• Monitor and resolve issues in AWS infrastructure to guarantee high availability, performance, and compliance.

• Offer practical support for Docker, Kubernetes, SIEM, CSPM, and vulnerability scanning technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 3 years of professional experience in Python or Go development, emphasizing automation.

• More than 3 years of practical experience with AWS security-focused services, such as IAM, KMS, Control Tower, and GuardDuty.

• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) utilizing Terraform.

• Familiarity with AWS Step Functions and AWS Lambda for serverless architectures.

• Practical experience with SIEM, IPS, and vulnerability scanners.

• Strong grasp of cloud security best practices and compliance standards.

• Proficient in advanced oral English.

• Proficient in advanced Spanish.

• AWS certifications are preferred, including AWS Certified Security – Specialty or Solutions Architect.

• Experience with CI/CD tools like Scalr, Harness, and Jenkins is preferred.

• Background in Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.

• Knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies and secure coding practices is preferred.

• Familiarity with GCP or Alibaba Cloud is preferred.
