Senior Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage Axion's cloud infrastructure on GCP, ensuring it is highly available, scalable, and secure.

• Take ownership of and enhance our Kubernetes-based container orchestration platform along with Terraform infrastructure-as-code methodologies.

• Create and refine CI/CD pipelines, developer tools, and deployment automation to enable engineering teams to deliver with speed and assurance.

• Establish and uphold observability across our stack—logging, metrics, alerting, and tracing—while leading incident response initiatives.

• Define and monitor SLOs and SLIs, promoting a culture of reliability and ongoing enhancement.

• Contribute to security fortification, compliance strategies, and cost optimization within our cloud environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.

• In-depth hands-on experience with GCP (including services like Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, or similar).

• Strong expertise in Kubernetes—covering cluster management, networking, scaling, and troubleshooting.

• Solid experience with Terraform—writing modular, reusable, and production-ready infrastructure-as-code.

• Proven ability to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and developer tools.

• Strong familiarity with observability tools (such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent).

• Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous settings with a proactive approach.

• Experience at a venture-backed startup is preferred.

• Candidates must reside in the Eastern or Central time zones.
