Senior Infrastructure Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise infrastructure across computing, virtualization, storage, and container platforms.

• Collaborate with VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV, Microsoft Hyper-V, and/or Proxmox VE.

• Design and manage enterprise storage solutions including SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and NFS.

• Administer and resolve issues within Linux and Windows Server environments.

• Deploy and manage Kubernetes and containerized workloads.

• Generate High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), migration plans, implementation plans, and technical documentation.

• Lead and assist in infrastructure migrations, upgrades, and technology refresh initiatives.

• Engage directly with customers through discovery sessions, technical workshops, and solution design processes.

• Collaborate with sales and pre-sales teams to create technical solutions and Statements of Work (SOWs).

• Diagnose intricate infrastructure issues and liaise with vendors when necessary.

• Share expertise and offer technical guidance to fellow engineers.

• Continue expanding knowledge in AI infrastructure, automation, and emerging data center technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong practical experience in virtualization, computing, storage, and enterprise infrastructure.

• Familiarity with VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV, Microsoft Hyper-V, and/or Proxmox VE.

• Experience with enterprise storage solutions such as SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and NFS.

• Proficiency in administering and troubleshooting Linux and Windows Server environments.

• Experience in deploying and supporting Kubernetes and containerized workloads.

• Capability to produce HLDs, LLDs, migration plans, implementation plans, and technical documentation.

• Proven experience in leading or supporting infrastructure migrations, upgrades, and technology refresh projects.

• Background in customer-facing consultancy and implementation.

• Understanding of infrastructure networking fundamentals.

• Demonstrated ability in complex troubleshooting across compute, storage, virtualization, and operating systems.

• Familiarity with vSphere/VCF, vSAN, NSX, Nutanix AOS/Prism, HCI, enterprise storage, backup/DR, Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, Python, or public cloud is advantageous.

• Experience with NVIDIA DGX/HGX, NVIDIA AI Enterprise, GPU Operator, Base Command Manager, or AI Factory environments is a plus but not required.

• A strong technical curiosity and genuine interest in AI infrastructure.

• Ability to work directly with customers, take ownership of technical delivery, and convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
