Senior Information System Security Officer – ISSO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Provide support for all documentation related to a portfolio of over 30 applications.

• Facilitate coordination and collaboration with government clients.

• Aid teams in implementing best practices for vulnerability remediation.

• Comprehend the complete Risk Management Framework (RMF) process from initiation to completion.

• Be at ease working with various Information Assurance (IA) controls.

• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security controls in accordance with the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).

• Take responsibility for helping system owners maintain their Authorization to Operate (ATO) status.

• Create best practices for common vulnerability remediation, prioritization of findings and criticality, as well as mitigation strategies and countermeasures.

• Enhance collaboration and information sharing across agencies and with external partners to support cybersecurity risk reduction and resilience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum overall experience: 10 years.

• Highly attentive to customer requirements and needs.

• Familiarity with security controls, preferably in a government context.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification.

• Preferred certifications include: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
