• Create and implement best practices along with activities aimed at reducing costs.
• Oversee the integration of the Labor Management System (LMS) with the Warehouse Control System (WCS) and the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Design facility layouts and Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
• Collaborate closely with customers and Kenco operations to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Monitor the value generated from all assigned projects through the Value Creation Index (VCI).
• Ensure the development, implementation, and effectiveness of Work Measurement systems.
• Assess warehouse flow, conduct zoning and slotting evaluations, and perform profile analyses.
• Drive continuous improvement within the Kenco Operating System (KOS).
• Execute process observations and time-motion studies.
• Assist sites in analyzing labor management data to inform operational decisions.
• Conduct line balancing and one-piece flow simulation analyses.
• Perform zoning/slotting and profile analyses.
• Utilize Takt time methods.
• Implement Value Stream Mapping (VSM), process mapping, and data collection techniques.
• Conduct Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA).
• Assess process capability and performance (Cp/Cpk).
• Engage in exploratory data analysis, hypothesis testing, and analytical methodologies.
• Apply process improvement methodologies.
• Analyze waste, distinguishing between Value Added and Non-Value Added activities (VA-NVA).
• Employ Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques.
• Develop control charting and control planning strategies.
• Gather input from customers to prioritize projects, establish goals and objectives, and receive feedback on performance.
• Align the organization with lean principles and facilitate the establishment of lean systems across all areas using Hoshin planning activities.
• Ensure the appropriate tools are used to address the most critical issues impacting customer satisfaction, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Develop and implement comprehensive companywide measurement systems that promote desired behaviors and support the achievement of business objectives.
• Utilize lean and six sigma methodologies to minimize waste and variations in operations.
• Have a solid understanding of solutions design, financial models, and contract pricing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Logistics Engineering or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a distribution environment (or 3PL), or a Master’s degree with 2 years of experience.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is required.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in project management is essential.
• Experience with WCS and automation solutions is preferred.
• Programming skills are preferred (Python, R, C++).
• Proven experience in a customer-facing role, defining expectations and achieving results.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively analyze data to uncover trends, performance outcomes, and areas for improvement.
