Senior II Software Engineer – API for Cloud Networking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Denmark.

📋 Description

• Assisting in the development of cloud platform features that establish, oversee, and secure networking within the Akamai Cloud.

• Crafting and executing clean, efficient, and high-performance REST APIs utilized by both customers and internal teams.

• Creating and sustaining internal libraries and microservices leveraged by various teams at Akamai.

• Designing, implementing, reviewing, documenting, and testing high-quality Python code in close collaboration with your team.

• Evaluating and contributing to architectural and design documents produced by other teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a background in mainstream programming languages, including Python, Java, C#, or Go.

• Demonstrate strong capabilities in writing, testing, and comprehending complex software.

• Have experience in the design and implementation of REST APIs.

• Be familiar with technical design, product specifications reviews, project management, and backlog planning.

• Capable of collaborating effectively with team members to identify and resolve issues in a cooperative manner.

• Exhibit strong communication skills, with experience engaging with leadership and non-developer stakeholders.

• Have experience in mentoring fellow developers.
