Senior IBMi, BT Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Administration and operation of IBMi environments

• Management of LPARs, virtualization, HMC, and VIOS

• Ensuring infrastructure remains operational (MCO / RUN) under high availability requirements

• Upgrading and maintaining IBMi systems and associated components

• Monitoring systems, alerting, and resolving incidents

• Participating in PRA / DR exercises

• Implementing security hardening and ensuring compliance with infrastructure standards

• Automating and industrializing operational tasks

• Managing Production Plans (batch jobs)

• Overseeing application management

• Contributing to initiatives for infrastructure evolution and modernization

• Providing technical support and guidance for projects utilizing IBMi platforms

• Conducting BT activities (Batch management with Advanced Job Scheduler, etc.)

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in IBMi (AS/400) system administration

• Practical experience in:

• o LPAR management

• o HMC

• o VIOS

• Operational knowledge of production environments with 24/7 demands

• Experience in monitoring and incident management

• Solid understanding of system security and operational best practices

• BT activities (Batch management with Advanced Job Scheduler, Fortra Robot Schedule, etc.):

• o Job and Schedule creation / modification

• o Job and Schedule management (run / stop / cancel)

• o IBMi CL programming skills (code analysis, creation, modification)
