This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +2 more states.
• The Quality Program Manager, Comfort is tasked with developing and scaling the quality assurance framework that facilitates Palmetto’s growth across various residential energy technologies, including HVAC, geothermal, water heaters, and generators.
• This position is responsible for establishing the standards, training, and review processes that guarantee high-quality, code-compliant installations by Certified Contractors across all Comfort product lines.
• Lead the Quality Control Technician team, manage daily milestone review throughput, and collaborate across functions to streamline processes, minimize friction, and meet volume and SLA targets.
• Create and maintain quality standards, documentation, and contractor approval criteria for installations of HVAC, geothermal, water heaters, and generators.
• Set performance benchmarks and feedback mechanisms to decrease project rejections while upholding system quality standards.
• Conduct onboarding calls with new contractors and provide ongoing training and pipeline reviews for all Comfort products.
• Over 7 years of experience in a technical or construction-related role with a solid background in residential HVAC and/or geothermal systems.
• More than 4 years of proven experience in developing and implementing programs and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Demonstrated capability to extend technical knowledge across related mechanical or energy system technologies.
• Experience in data analytics and performance measurement.
• Strong collaboration skills with technology enablement teams.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities, with the skill to influence external parties.
• Proven track record of driving product and operational excellence while aiding business growth and commercial goals.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in a matrix management environment with multiple stakeholders and reporting structures.
• Highly organized with great attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a similar field.
