This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide advice and consultation to managers and leaders as they expand, acting as a trusted thought partner and coach in areas such as organizational design and talent development.
• Collaborate with managers to recognize high achievers and assist in their growth within Upstart, while also addressing low performance issues to uphold our high performance standards.
• Manage and resolve employee relations matters of varying complexities by conducting thorough and impartial investigations, interpreting and applying Upstart policies, and providing recommendations.
• Cultivate relationships with managers to ensure they have confidence and trust in the HR team, offering practical guidance and resources to enhance managerial effectiveness.
• Assist in core HR programs, processes, and initiatives, including performance cycles and employee engagement surveys.
• Serve as a flexible problem solver, bridging the gap between the HRBP team and the business to achieve optimal outcomes for the organization. Deliver thoughtful and suitable counsel, balancing both long-term and short-term business needs.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 6-10+ years of experience in Human Resources (HRBP, HR generalist, or employee relations).
