This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Build and maintain relationships with executives, managers, employees, and labor unions.

• Provide high-quality advice and guidance to managers and employees.

• Act as a subject matter expert on intricate HR matters that have substantial impact.

• Oversee Employee Relations scenarios to foster a productive work environment, enhance performance, and mitigate risks to the Company.

• Assess and evaluate employee relations situations; suggest appropriate actions and facilitate resolutions or corrections.

• Manage the progressive discipline program by coaching and advising managers and employees on performance management concerns.

• Assist in the development of improvement plans and support ongoing improvement efforts through consistent communication and follow-up.

• Guide employees on conduct issues, disputes, illnesses or disabilities, and performance challenges; aid in dispute resolution.

• Receive and address employee relations complaints; conduct investigations with minimal oversight and recommend resolutions.

• Monitor employee relations activities.

• Administer and interpret labor agreements and grievance processes.

• Provide labor relations support during contract negotiations and act as a liaison between managers and union representatives.

• Suggest and implement improvements to policies and processes.

• Track and report on work activities, response times, and output quality.

• Review accommodation requests related to leave, disability, and Workers’ Compensation issues, including sensitive and complex claims.

• Oversee unemployment claims.

• Engage in EEO/Wage and Hour regulatory complaints and represent the Company at investigative conferences, depositions, unemployment hearings, and necessary meetings.

• Deliver presentations for management and employees on employee relations subjects.

• Support training initiatives on policies, sexual harassment, legal matters, and performance management.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or Communications.

• A minimum of eight years of experience in Human Resources as a generalist or in employee relations consulting on moderate to complex issues.

• Comprehensive knowledge of state and federal employment and labor laws and compliance requirements.

• Experience and proficiency in supporting a union environment, including grievance handling, labor contract interpretation, participation in labor negotiations, and managing labor/management dynamics.

• Dedication to maintaining the utmost confidentiality regarding employee and company information.

• Capability to proactively manage and handle a wide range of tasks, including resolving complaints and advising managers and employees on policies, procedures, and union agreements interpretation.

• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions aligned with company policies, practices, and culture.

• Experience in creating reports and presentations tailored for an executive audience.

• Proficient in developing and conducting training sessions for business leaders and employees.

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail; adept at managing multiple priorities.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to foster trust and collaboration.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer service mindset towards problem-solving.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and applications, as well as HRIS.
