This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take ownership of the entire editorial content lifecycle for the blog, pillar pages, and a new evergreen resource hub: this includes research, planning, prioritization, briefing, production, editing, publishing, and performance analysis.
• Foster organic growth of editorial content through active SEO and AEO/GEO strategies: encompassing on-page optimization, internal linking structure, content updates, new content creation, EEAT, and increasing AI referral traffic, citations, and impressions without compromising traditional SEO.
• Oversee editorial CRO: treat the blog and pillars as conversion platforms, formulate hypotheses, conduct tests, and enhance new registrations and email subscriptions via content.
• Manage the HireReady newsletter from start to finish: develop content strategy, oversee weekly distributions, facilitate subscriber growth, and analyze performance, transforming a substantial existing audience into an effective marketing channel.
• Develop content-driven email acquisition strategies: create lead magnets (such as reports, whitepapers, and templates), integrate opt-in tactics across content, and design welcome and nurture flows that convert subscribers into registrations, in collaboration with our Lifecycle owner.
• Produce original, data-driven content utilizing Jobscan's proprietary data and insights (comparative analyses, best-of lists, listicles, and research articles) that we are uniquely positioned to create.
• Innovate AI-enhanced production workflows using tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor to boost execution speed while upholding a high standard of quality.
• Spearhead a redesign of our blog and content page templates (including structure, layout, and user experience) to enhance SEO, AEO/GEO, conversion rates, and reading experiences, in partnership with the Head of Marketing.
• Manage and develop our editorial team (consisting of one full-time writer and one part-time contractor) while coordinating ad-hoc video content with a contractor.
• Collaborate closely with the Head of Marketing on shared website acquisition objectives: present priorities and justifications, manage tasks in Notion, and translate performance data into strategic initiatives.
• 5-8 years of experience in growth or content marketing, preferably at a B2C product or content-focused site (B2C SaaS experience is a plus, but not mandatory).
• Exceptional content creation and editing abilities, demonstrating high-quality writing and enhancing the quality of others' work.
• Practical SEO expertise: including on-page optimization, internal linking, keyword targeting, search intent mapping, cannibalization awareness, content scope, and topic assignment.
• Proficient in AEO/GEO: optimizing for AI search and answer engines, building EEAT, and increasing citations and AI referral traffic while maintaining SEO integrity.
• Strong CRO instincts: capable of reviewing a content page, identifying conversion opportunities, conducting experiments, and iterating based on results.
• Experience in lifecycle and email marketing: including ownership of newsletters and content-driven subscriber growth strategies, such as lead magnets and welcome/nurture flows (HubSpot experience is ideal).
• Experience in people management: overseeing writers or contractors and managing an editorial calendar effectively.
• Strong familiarity with AI/LLM tools: employs Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar tools in daily workflows to expedite production time while ensuring quality.
• Comfortable working directly in WordPress; familiarity with or interest in modern static site stacks (Astro/Vite) is advantageous.
• Proficient with GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs (or SEMrush), and ideally one product/CRO tool (such as PostHog, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, or VWO).
• Self-motivated and discerning: able to take a surface, target, or opportunity and pursue it independently without daily oversight.
• High standards for quality: comfortable enhancing content, design, and conversion benchmarks across the site.
