Senior Grant Manager – Housing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Oversee project and task management initiatives, including the creation of project work plans and ensuring the successful completion of deliverables.

• Analyze and summarize both state and federal regulations.

• Offer subject matter expertise related to HUD CDBG, CDBG-DR, and HOME single and multifamily housing policies and program implementation to grantees, their subrecipients, and developers as needed.

• Provide high-level technical assistance to grantees and their subrecipients.

• Design and execute federally funded housing programs, which may encompass single-family home repairs or reconstruction, multifamily housing initiatives, and first-time homebuyer programs.

• Advise on layered funding strategies for multifamily housing programs.

• Assist with the integration of federal funds alongside Low Income Housing Tax Credits.

• Facilitate project and grant-level reporting.

• Conduct research and analysis while creating and delivering presentations for clients, stakeholders, and the public.

• Prepare plans, reports, and assessments grounded in research and analysis.

• Aid in developing client-facing materials, such as policies and procedures, checklists, forms, project tracking tools, and administrative guidance.

• Compose documents, memos, letters, and other formal communications directed towards clients.

• Lead or assist in organizing meetings or workshops.

• Capture and compile notes from both internal meetings and client interactions.

• Support Project Managers in delivering services to clients.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree and five years of experience in activities funded by HUD, including disaster recovery, mitigation and resilience, community development, or housing (HOME or CDBG).

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, communicate effectively, and adhere to tight deadlines.

• Strong analytical abilities, adept at retrieving, analyzing, and synthesizing data in a meaningful manner.

• Comprehensive knowledge of CDBG-DR grant program regulations.

• Familiarity with CDBG-DR housing programs: both single and multifamily.

• In-depth understanding of 2 CFR 200 and its relevance to HUD programs.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Highly organized, capable of independently leading and managing multiple tasks with minimal oversight.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Flexibility to accommodate client meetings across various time zones.
