Senior Government Programs Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as a Program Manager in a government-facing role, collaborating directly with the Department of War, Intelligence Community, Department of Energy, Department of Commerce, and various U.S. Government agencies, as well as State and Municipal governments and other National governments to coordinate and implement PsiQuantum projects, some of which may be classified. Maintain robust relationships and ensure transparent, timely communication regarding project progress and milestones.

• Oversee the completion of contract deliverables, ensuring PsiQuantum's adherence to the rigorous standards and requirements established by the U.S. Government and relevant agencies, thereby achieving program milestones accurately and punctually, with a goal of 100% contract compliance.

• Interact directly with government customers to gather feedback and provide insights to PsiQuantum's program and engineering/product teams, enhancing the development of PsiQuantum deliverables and products. Contribute to the establishment of a government customer engagement system, which includes issue tracking, training sessions, and thorough event preparation.

• Cultivate and sustain internal collaborations across various PsiQuantum departments, including Legal, Finance/Accounting, Security, and Human Resources, to ensure full compliance with government contracts.

• Proactively identify risks and challenges related to government programs, formulating and executing mitigation strategies to guarantee project success.

• Lead cross-functional teams from different areas of the company—Finance/Accounting, Legal, Security, Technical/Engineering Teams, etc.—to meet deadlines for government contract proposals/renewals and award negotiations.

• Track and report internally on the status and performance of PsiQuantum’s government contractual agreements.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA). Must show proficiency in navigating and understanding a highly complex scientific and engineering landscape.

• At least 7 years of experience in government program management, preferably with a focus on managing technology projects associated with government contracts.

• Strong knowledge of U.S. Government contracting processes and accounting practices.

• Extensive experience applying contractual management principles, policies, methods, techniques, and systems, gained in either the government or private sector.

• Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams, effectively coordinating efforts across diverse groups to achieve project goals.

• Demonstrated ability to organize work, prioritize tasks, assess resource needs, set goals and strategies, monitor progress, and evaluate outcomes.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with government officials, technical teams, and internal stakeholders.

• Strong desire to address high-priority requirements in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while delivering excellent customer service.

• Display stakeholder maturity; must be capable of engaging with senior counterparts in both government and industry.

• Proven experience in creating and delivering presentations and written reports to leadership and clients.

• U.S. Top Secret/SCI security clearance in good standing, or eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
