Senior Golang Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage production backend systems utilizing Go.

• Create scalable and dependable APIs as well as distributed services.

• Design and enhance database schemas and data models.

• Construct and oversee systems employing SQL/PostgreSQL.

• Contribute to the infrastructure, deployment, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Collaborate with Kubernetes and cloud-native environments.

• Implement and enhance observability through metrics, alerting, logging, and request tracing.

• Diagnose production issues and enhance system reliability and performance.

• Work closely with engineering, product teams, and other stakeholders.

• Assist in shaping technical architecture and engineering best practices as the company expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in writing production-level Go (Golang) for backend systems.

• Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining distributed backend systems in production environments.

• Strong grasp of backend architecture and API design principles.

• Experience in designing relational database schemas and working with SQL.

• Proven track record in developing production web applications, services, and/or APIs.

• Capability to independently tackle technical challenges from design to production.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Skill to articulate technical concepts clearly and succinctly to non-technical audiences.

• A collaborative and low-ego approach to engineering and problem-solving.

• Preferred: Familiarity with PostgreSQL.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Kubernetes.

• Preferred: Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

• Preferred: Background in API-driven development.

• Preferred: Experience with observability tools, including metrics, alerting, logging, and distributed/request tracing.

• Preferred: Experience with Python and/or Python-based data pipelines.

• Preferred: Background in early-stage startup environments, especially from Seed to Series B.

• Preferred: Experience in high-stakes or highly regulated sectors such as fintech, security, identity, fraud, or risk.
