Senior Golang Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Develop, enhance, and maintain the open-source code base of GraphQL Go Tools' (Router) using Golang (with a focus on low GC code).

• Collaborate closely with your engineering colleagues to introduce new capabilities for the Router (such as Open Federation and new data sources).

• Prioritize performance, security, and stability in the Router's development.

• Analyze Router telemetry to pinpoint areas that require improvement.

• Conduct internal penetration tests on the Router.

• Troubleshoot Router-related issues, potentially in collaboration with engineers from our customers.

• Evaluate and accept open-source contributions on GitHub.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven senior-level experience in Golang development, particularly in a leadership or ownership capacity (mandatory).

• A self-motivated individual with a strong sense of priorities—able to work independently without requiring guidance.

• Familiarity with working with Abstract Syntax Trees (ASTs), including transformations.

• Experience in writing efficient and low GC code in Golang, alongside knowledge of how to benchmark Go applications.

• Exceptional communication skills in English, which is crucial for a remote team environment.

• Ability to thrive and work effectively in a fully remote setting.
