Senior Golang Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina, +6 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance applications and background services utilizing Go.

• Create multithreaded and concurrent processing components.

• Develop mechanisms for event collection, processing, batching, compression, serialization, and transmission of high-volume telemetry and event data.

• Implement local storage and encrypted buffering for offline functionality, checkpointing, retry queues, recovery, and data-loss prevention.

• Establish secure integrations with cloud platforms and data services.

• Implement authentication and security protocols, including RSA key-pair authentication, JWT/OAuth, TLS, certificate validation, encryption, and secure credential management.

• Design resilient distributed-client behavior, including idempotency, duplicate prevention, retries, acknowledgments, failure recovery, rate limiting, and network resilience.

• Develop data processing capabilities for JSON, Parquet, and Protocol Buffers.

• Optimize CPU, memory, disk I/O, network utilization, startup time, and long-term stability through Go profiling and diagnostic tools.

• Develop and support cross-platform software for both Windows and macOS environments.

• Construct unit, integration, performance, stress, resilience, and security tests.

• Implement logging, metrics, health monitoring, diagnostics, and telemetry while safeguarding sensitive information.

• Contribute to packaging, versioning, configuration management, automated deployment, upgrades, rollbacks, and enterprise software distribution.

• Provide technical leadership through architecture discussions, design reviews, code reviews, troubleshooting, and mentoring.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of software development experience with substantial hands-on expertise in Golang.

• Advanced understanding of Go concurrency, including goroutines, channels, mutexes, contexts, synchronization, and worker-pool patterns.

• Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, memory management, and performance optimization.

• Experience in building long-running services, agents, system utilities, telemetry applications, or distributed client applications.

• Extensive experience with REST APIs, HTTPS, TLS, JSON, authentication, and secure API integration.

• Proficient in implementing RSA/public-key cryptography, JWT/OAuth, certificate-based authentication, and secure credential management.

• Familiarity with local persistence, caching, queuing, batching, compression, retry, and failure-recovery patterns.

• Knowledge of Parquet or similar columnar/binary data formats and high-volume data-processing patterns.

• Strong experience with unit testing, integration testing, mocking, profiling, debugging, and performance testing in Go.

• Good understanding of CI/CD, Git, code-quality tooling, dependency management, vulnerability scanning, and secure SDLC practices.

• Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms and cloud SDK integration is a plus.

• Experience in Windows and/or macOS system programming, enterprise endpoint software, or large-scale telemetry systems is preferred.

• Familiarity with C/C++ or .NET interoperability, Windows APIs, macOS APIs, or OS-level encryption and key stores is advantageous.

• Experience with MSI/MSIX packaging and enterprise device-management platforms is a plus.
