Senior Golang Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malta.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs utilizing Go.

• Manage the AWS infrastructure, covering everything from provisioning and deployment to monitoring and cost optimization.

• Collaborate closely with the Software Architect to ensure technical decisions are in line with the long-term infrastructure strategy.

• Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code that sets a high standard for the rest of the team.

• Identify and address performance bottlenecks, ensuring system stability and uptime at scale.

• Actively participate in code reviews and architectural discussions, contributing as a key member of the engineering team.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 to 6 years of experience in building production-quality backend systems using Go.

• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, SQS, and CloudWatch.

• Strong understanding of distributed systems, REST API design, and relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL).

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with event-driven architectures such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.

• Strong English communication skills.

• Proficient in the use of AI technologies.
