Senior Geomatics Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Oversee the data processing operations within the Reality Capture Department.

• Conduct field-to-finish processing of traditional survey data utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D.

• Process raw scan data obtained from Mobile, Terrestrial, and Aerial LiDAR acquisitions.

• Investigate and trial new capture and visualization formats.

• Assist GIS workflows related to coordinate systems, projections, metadata, and data attribution.

• Assess new tools and methodologies, providing recommendations for their adoption.

• Contribute to the establishment of internal best practices, processing standards, and QA/QC procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in geomatics, remote sensing, LiDAR processing, or a similar technical domain.

• Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D, particularly in field-to-finish survey data processing.

• Practical experience with Leica Register360, TopoDOT, Global Mapper, and TerraSolid/TerraModeler.

• Familiarity with aerial photogrammetry workflows using Pix4D and/or Agisoft Metashape.

• Ability to read and interpret OPUS reports and perform quality control on geodetic control point observations.

• Strong knowledge of LiDAR data formats, coordinate reference systems, and geospatial data quality standards.

• Outstanding communication skills with the capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
