Senior Generative AI Engineer – Agentic AI, RAG

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create and develop AI agents utilizing Vertex AI Agent Builder, the Claude API, and Gemini Enterprise.

• Implement enterprise AI tools for Patient Services applications, which include intake automation, missing-information workflows, adverse-event detection, workload queue intelligence, QNCR automation, and chat-with-claims.

• Construct and manage RAG pipelines, vector stores, embeddings, and retrieval workflows related to Patient Services data.

• Execute MCP server integrations and define agent tools/functions that securely interface enterprise systems with agents.

• Incorporate AI functionalities into Salesforce Health Cloud, MuleSoft, and Java SDLC milestones.

• Develop reusable prompt templates and agent patterns to encourage broader engineering use.

• Contribute quality-assured, version-controlled components to the collective prompt and pattern library.

• Oversee the entire agent lifecycle from creation and deployment to monitoring, evaluation, and retirement.

• Create evaluation harnesses to assess agents against established quality benchmarks before launch.

• Audit AI-generated Salesforce, MuleSoft, and Java code to ensure adherence to ACTICS quality standards.

• Track deployed agents for drift, costs, latency, and accuracy, and take corrective action as necessary.

• Deliver an Intake Automation MVP along with at least two additional AI workflow MVPs within the first year.

• Initiate and promote the use of reusable agent patterns, a prompt library, and practices for operational evaluation and monitoring.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of software engineering experience in developing production systems.

• Proficient in Python programming.

• Skilled in JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Direct experience working with production systems.

• Familiarity with a cloud AI platform and its SDK; preference for Vertex AI.

• Experience in prompt engineering and developing LLM applications using Claude, Gemini, or similar models.

• Practical knowledge of RAG, vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval design.

• Awareness of CrewAI, LangChain, LangGraph, or Vertex Agent Builder.

• Experience integrating REST/GraphQL APIs.

• Comfortable with a follow-the-sun work model alongside an onshore lead.

• Preference for experience with MCP servers and agent tooling standards.

• Background in healthcare or life sciences technology, with an understanding of PHI/HIPAA regulations preferred.

• Preferred experience in Salesforce Apex/LWC or Java development.

• Familiarity with BigQuery, PostgreSQL, or similar data platforms is preferred.
