This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Design, implement, and enhance state-of-the-art multiplayer-ready gameplay systems both within and outside of the Unreal Engine.
• Create clean, efficient, and maintainable C++ code.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to bring innovative gameplay experiences to life.
• Aid in the creation of scalable and robust networking solutions.
• Address and solve complex technical challenges in intricate multiplayer games.
• Over 6 years of experience working with the Unreal Engine.
• Strong C++ programming capabilities, with a solid understanding of modern C++ standards (C++17 and C++20).
• Familiarity with at least one proprietary game engine (C/C++ OOP/ECS).
• In-depth knowledge of Client-Server Game Architecture (including Client-side prediction, Server reconciliation, Lag compensation, Entity Interpolation, etc.).
• Profound understanding of common data structures and algorithms (DSA).
• Experience with Online Services (for instance, GBaaS solutions like Azure Playfab, AccelByte AGS, Custom Game Backend Integration/Development, Toxicity Management Platforms, etc.).
• Knowledge of UE’s Gameplay Abilities System (GAS).
